The Foundational Advantage Coaching Program is ideal for those who want to formalise their coaching competencies, develop industry-aligned skills, or explore coaching as a potential professional pathway — even without prior experience.
Throughout the programme, you’ll be supported by faculty who are deeply committed to your growth — both as a coach and as a person. Learning is paced, reflective, and practical, with clear frameworks, real coaching practice, and personalised feedback woven throughout.

Meet Your Facilitators
This programme is led by two experienced Coach Educators who bring depth, clarity, and heart to your learning journey.
Annekarien van de Velde (Master Certified Coach). A senior faculty team with extensive experience training coaches and leaders in Aoteraroa New Zealand and internationally. Known for her warm, grounded presence, Annekarien specialise in coaching mindset, self-awareness, and high-quality coaching conversations that translate theory into confident, embodied practice.
Kiri McCrae (Professional Certified Coach) brings a relational and culturally grounded perspective to the programme. Drawing on Maori worldviews, Kiri supports learners to explore coaching through connection, values, and relational wealth.

Being onsite adds a special depth to the experience — you’ll practise together, receive real-time feedback, and learn from each other in a dynamic, engaging environment. It truly brings the material to life. You will deepen your understanding of core coaching theories and practices.
Practical Lab I 12 sessions from 4 May to 30 Jul I Online
Mix & match the options below to complete at least 10 sessions.
Mondays & Tuesdays I 6:30–8:30 PM NZT (27 April – 2 June 2026)
Tuesdays & Wednesdays I 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM NZT (27 April – 20 May 2026)
You’ll rotate through the roles of coach, client, and observer, gaining confidence, structure, and real coaching experience.
Mentoring Lab I 3 Sessions I Online
Receive personalised guidance and developmental feedback from your mentor.
Requirements:
- Submit a recorded coaching session and transcript before each meeting (ICF standard)
- Schedule mentoring sessions directly with your mentor at mutually suitable times
Enrichment Lab I 3 Sessions I Online
Enhance your learning through live coaching demonstrations led by experienced faculty and growth-focused webinars. A brief reflection is submitted via the LMS after each session.
