ICF Coaching Education with the Transformative EdgeTM

How Your Coaching Professional Pathway Is Structured

The Transformative Edge™ pathway is built in clear stages called Advantages. Each Advantage adds a new layer to your practice and connects to a specific point on the ICF credential roadmap. You can see where you are starting, what comes next, and how each step supports your path toward ACC, PCC, or MCC.

Across every Advantage, you are working with one coherent way of thinking about change. The same core framework runs through your learning from the first conversation you practise to the most complex work you take on. What shifts at each stage is the depth of work you can hold and the kind of conversations you are ready to lead.

Choosing Your Intake

Wherever you are in the world, you can begin when you are ready.
Our global cohorts run year-round, so you can join an intake that fits your time zone, schedule, and learning rhythm.

If you are new to coaching

For those who are beginning their coaching journey or bringing coaching into their leadership, the pathway offers two main routes:

  • Your starting point for transformational coaching education.
  • It builds your coaching mindset and core method and meets the education requirement for the ACC credential through an ICF Level 1 pathway.

  • A continuous journey for those who want to coach at a professional standard.
  • It deepens your practice against ICF competency markers and fulfils the education requirement for the PCC credential through an ICF Level 2 pathway.

Perhaps you are intrigued by what this program offers but have no intention, at least for now, of pursuing a professional coaching certification.

If that is where you are, we have good news: the Exploratory Track allows you to complete the Learning Lab from the Foundational Advantage as a stand-alone experience.

It is for people who want to understand how change works and apply it in their own life and work, with the option to continue into the certification pathway later.

If you are an experienced coach practitioner

For practitioners who already have coach training or an ICF credential, the pathway offers routes that build on what you have:

  • For practitioners who already hold accredited Level 1 or ACSTH training.
  • This option recognises your prior learning and supports you in completing the Competency Advantage, aligning you with an ICF Level 2 pathway and preparing you for a PCC application.

  • For practitioners who have completed at least 70 hours of coaching training and want to extend their practice into team coaching.
  • This track focuses on coaching teams to think and work together, so you can support leadership teams and groups where collective insight and alignment matter.

  • For experienced coach practitioners who already hold a PCC credential and are ready to refine their practice toward mastery.
  • This program prepares you to work at a developmental level and to meet MCC-level performance evaluation requirements within an ICF Level 3 pathway.
